Naval Leadership Weekend 2023

The Staff and Midshipmen of the University of Notre Dame’s Naval ROTC Unit are excited to host the 28th annual Naval Leadership Weekend (NLW) on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4, 2022. We are holding our first in-person event since 2020!

This two day event provides Midshipmen with an opportunity to hear a variety of perspectives on leadership from their peers across the country and outstanding leaders in today’s Navy and Marine Corps team. Midshipmen will hear from retired and active duty military personnel and participate in small group discussions, providing them with tools and information that will help guide them to success as officers.

This year’s guest speakers include:

  • Major Thomas Rigby, USMC
  • Master Gunnery Sergeant Nicholas Williams, USMC
  • Lieutenant Colonel Trent Gibson, USMC
  • Master Chief Britt Slabinski, USN (Ret.)
  • Sergeant Major Robin Fortner, USMC (Ret.)
  • Keynote Speaker: Vice Admiral William Houston, USN
