Maddison Sherk

Maddison Sherk is the Staff Assistant for the Naval Science Department at the University of Notre Dame. She graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Integrated New Media Studies, bringing a creative background in digital media and community communications to the NROTC unit.

Alongside her role at the university, Maddison works as a freelance multimedia producer, creating and developing multimedia content, including projects that have aired on PBS WNIT. Her previous experience also includes working as an activities assistant at a local care facility, where she managed daily event scheduling, group coordination, and community activities.

In her position at Notre Dame, Maddison acts as the main link between the university and the active-duty NROTC faculty. She provides direct administrative and clerical support to the Professor of Naval Science, handling calendar scheduling, official correspondence, and daily office tasks.

Outside of her office duties, Maddison uses her media background to handle the unit’s online presence. She runs the department’s website and social media channels, creating updates that highlight the unit and showcase what the students are accomplishing.
